Martha Downs grew up in Spring Branch, Houston, TX where she attended Northbrook High School, and graduated from Northwest Academy. She has two daughters and three bonus children after marrying her husband, Troy, in 2020. She also has three precious bonus grandchildren.

In her spare time, you’ll find Martha loving on her rescued pets, two cats and a Jack Russell Terrier Mix named Bella. She enjoys visiting Round Top, bargain hunting at flea markets, cheering on the Houston Astros, and spending time with friends and family. Martha also loves caring for those in need and volunteers with The Guild, an organization that raises money to help students working toward their Masters Of Education at Houston Baptist University.

Martha attended Houston Baptist University and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She taught at the elementary level for 20 years, mostly teaching Kindergarten. After filling in for a college intern in 2018, she realized real estate is a service industry similar to teaching, and felt inspired to begin her real estate journey.

Having played softball throughout college, Martha feels at home being part of a team. She thrives on rooting for her teammates, collaborating ideas, planning events, and bringing people together. She also finds joy in making her clients feel important and putting a smile on their faces on closing day and beyond. Her willingness to go the extra mile for her clients through each step of the real estate process, while offering emotional support and answers to all of their real-estate related questions, makes her an asset to the real estate industry.
